Baron’s Theater

Let's get started!

Baron’s Theater

Formerly known as Squirrelly’s Magic Tea Room in Louisville, Baron’s Theater went through a renovation, but didn’t lose any of its mysterious charm. We helped create systems that are conspicuously hidden, but still give guests a magical experience.

Oversized magic-themed posters adorn the dark walls, but they can also be hidden with the push of a button to set a more neutral mood. The tiered space needed to be versatile to handle everything from theatrical productions and musical performances to lectures or even small weddings.

To accommodate such a variety of events, we created a video and sound system that isn’t obvious at first glance, but despite it’s compact design, it can handle everything from a quiet lecture to a full-on rock-n-roll performance with ease. The video system allows for stage access via media players or computer inputs and presentation access via the sound booth at the rear of the theater.

The original lighting system was controlled from a very aged dimmer system that didn’t allow for control of all components from DMX-style controls. Instead, we installed an electrical system that gives the client access to the lighting system via wall controls or from the sound booth.

We used all the tricks of the trade to pull off this transformation. And the end result is a space that makes no illusions of its ability to provide an exciting experience for any guest.

Cornerstone Community Church

Since they needed a full list of AVL systems, Cornerstone Community Church got the full SystemMax experience. We installed sound, video, lighting and acoustic treatments in their main sanctuary. This place is spacious, but after our work, there’s not a bad seat in the house.
